Pico is delighted to have been involved in the activation of seven pavilions at Expo 2017 Astana: the Belarus, Israel, France, Pakistan, Singapore, Sri Lanka and the Shanghai Cooperation Organization pavilions. These pavilions are now part of Pico’s continuously-expanding and award-winning world expo and specialised expo portfolio, which has reached almost 90 pavilions in size.

Firstly, to promote the organization itself, second to introduce the ‘Spirit of Shanghai’ to the world and third to conduct friendly exchanges and interactions between the people in SCO member countries with the following missions in mind: creating collaborative innovation, working towards a green economy and taking joint responsibility for public welfare.

Pico provided fit-out service for the 407 sq. m. pavilion, helping realise the theme – ‘Nurturing the Past for a Sustainable Future’.

Exploring Singapore’s commitment to creating an ecosystem which supports the development of effective solutions for a sustainable future, this vibrant, innovative and terrarium-like 385 sq. m. pavilion was segmented into six zones.
Pico proudly provided turnkey services for the Singapore Pavilion, including pavilion operations and event management services. We also worked together with our creative partner Zarch Collaboratives on a number of levels.
With its theme of ‘Energy of Creation’, the Israel Pavilion at Expo 2017 Astana showed off Israel’s spirit of creativity and innovation as well as the country’s breath-taking variety of entrepreneurs. The pavilion focused on telling the entertaining and fascinating stories of many Israeli companies in the green technology sphere.
The ‘Energy of Creation’ theme was created by the show production company, Avant Video Systems (AVS) because it reflected the essence and the variety of developments and achievements Israel has made in terms of alternative energy. The theme dovetailed well with the broader theme of Astana: ‘Future Energy’, as it showed how the people of Israel are propelling future energy through their knowledge, creative skills and passion. Pico provided fit out and operations services to the pavilion.
‘Energy Transition for Green Growth’ is the theme of France’s sprawling pavilion at Expo 2017 Astana. Located in one of 14 U-shaped buildings at the centre of the expo site, the France Pavilion is one of the largest of any national pavilions at the Expo, with 1,083 sq. m. of exhibition space and a further 700 sq. m. of meeting space, including a 200-seat multipurpose room for technical presentations, working meetings and conferences.
Pico provided fit-out service for the pavilion, helping to create this unique showcase for the technological excellence of France and its many forward-looking, eco-friendly companies and start-ups.
Pico fabricated the bright and spacious Sri Lanka Pavilion at Expo 2017 Astana. This 516 sq. m. pavilion welcomes visitors into its expansive interior through a temple-like entrance way.
