As well as introducing the brand’s latest products to dealers, the event sought to raise sales and media exposure via personal appearances by badminton celebrities, including Lin Dan, Ren Chunhui, Yang Yang, Li Zhifeng and Xiong Guobao. Pico was commissioned to provide event planning, design, build and operation services.
View the case studyFor their 30th anniversary, Chinese sports fashion brand Li-Ning presented shoppers with something enticingly different when it set up pop-up stores in Taikoo Li Sanlitun in Beijing and Deji Plaza in Nanjing. The temporary spaces featured a series of different themes and offline interactions aimed at engaging customers with new shopping experiences during the Golden Week holiday and early November. Pico was commissioned to build and operate the stores.

One of latest of these, the 2021 Yonex Newest Technology and Products Trade Show, was held from 9-17 July 2020 in Shanghai.
Pico delivered much of the event on a ‘turnkey’ basis – including an extensive programme that encompassed new product launches and ordering, ‘dealer appreciation’ ceremonies, and an extensive display of new and existing products to promote the brand’s upcoming 75th anniversary in 2021. Special promotional appearances by badminton star Lin Dan, former badminton world champions Gong Ruina and Wang Yihan, and tennis star Zhu Lin were scheduled. A further highlight would be a special media session with Lin Dan on both off- and online platforms.

Our mission was to make tennis fun for people of all ages. The zone’s many activations were designed to engage fans on multiple levels, bringing tennis-related excitement to them in unexpected and unprecedented ways.
Pico provided a number of services for the organiser, including fabrication and installation, videowall equipment, furniture, logistics and event management. Pre-event communication involved clients in UK and Russia, with the challenge being to coordinate every requirement and execute the project within a few short weeks. The Pico team in Brazil was well-equipped to communicate with our Japanese clients which greatly facilitated the project management and execution and contributed to the success of the event for the client.
