Following its successful debut in 2019, the Taipei Dangdai art show was once again the talk of the town in mid-January 2020. As a major feature of its second edition, the event gathered contemporary artworks from an impressive number of leading European, American and Asian galleries under one roof.
Pico provided project management and layout design services for 99 international galleries –10% more than the previous year – at Taipei Dangdai 2020, adding fresh style to the show and ensuring it was a unique space for contemporary arts. Participating galleries were represented across five sectors: ‘Galleries’, ‘Young Galleries’, ‘Solos’, ‘Salon’ and ‘Installations’. The team was also appointed by several galleries to provide technical consultation for eight major art installations, including expertise on mounting structures, lighting and audience management. The team worked to exacting specifications to build and arrange display spaces with the precise look and feel as envisioned by galleries and artists. Crucially, we liaised with Taipei Dangdai, made up of collectors from Taiwan and beyond, who provided guidance as the show worked to establish Taipei as a dynamic meeting place for the international art world.
